At one ment and word of wisdom.

This Keyword is "Atonement" you have another word "expiation" but atonement is the best word ever chosen because it fits in every context. The root of this word is "at one he meant" that means to make at one or to be at one.
This is true not only for the sacrifice of Jesus that atoning put the people again at one with God. Everything in the Gospel has the purpose to put every people at one. Let me explain.
We baptize people to make them at one in the church, for this purpose we are doing missionary work.

Through the ages God gave several words of wisdom, the more famous was that one included in the Law of Moses and it was intended to be a schoolteacher for an higher law, but let's go in the very beginning.
The real word of wisdom was given in the command "do not partake of the fruit of the Knowledge of good and evil" in fact this fruit would have brought "death"
Anyway it is interesting that this was anyway the first step to put man in a way at-one with God

22 ¶ And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
At this point I'd like to point out on what is the purpose of the word of wisdom in the plan of God.
In the scripture, the star is a symbol for man.
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were promised that their posterity would be as the "stars of heaven"
Genesis 15:5 22:17 26:4 exodus 32:13 Deuteronomy 28:62 1 Chronicles 27:23. Joseph's brothers were the eleven stars who bowed to him Genesis 39:9,10. Daniel saw the little horn oppress the stars, the Lord's people Daniel 8:10. Christ is the Star out of Jacob Numbers 24:17 and the bright and morning star Revelation 2:28 22:16 2 Peter 1:19.
Why the star is a symbol for man?
1 Corinthians 15:41
41 [There is] one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for [one] star differeth from [another] star in glory.
The star is a symbol for man in this telestial earth, star represents man in this sphere
Don't forget that the morning stars were the spirit in the morning, like Lucifer was a morning star, but he never became a star for the night, remember that stars in the morning are not visible, morning stars are just spirits.
One of the main purposes for this life is to obtain a body, Lucifer and his hosts lost this opportunity, but why our body is so important and why the word of wisdom is so strictly related to it. In the law of Moses God pointed out that there are things clean and unclean and we know that nothing unclean can inherit the kingdom of God. Paul explained this point

Here the word of wisdom is in junction to the obedience of the other commandments and if you remember the last keyword given to mankind to go trough the veil you will recognize its importance.

Justice may prevent us from being in a higher kingdom of glory; but mercy also intervenes to save us from a higher degree of glory. We are only deprived of that which we are incapable of enjoying, and we are only incapable of enjoying that which we have chosen not to prepare for.
