A DIVINE PRISM.

The Bible is the basic scriptural text for Christianity. For centuries, it has been an inexhaustible source for sermons and lesson What
makes this divine text so remarkable is that there are many levels which it can be understood. On a superficial level everybody is able
understand it. Yet there are many deeper levels that only a more in depth study can reveal. This is because God has given mankind the
ability to gain knowledge by studying and by revelation. Initially, the believer will easily be able to discover the simple, essential truths
as they are easy to find, but to understand the truth about the deeper things of God takes more than mere studying. It take that plus humility.

The Ten Commandments (pertaining to the Law of Moses) and the Sermon of the Mount (pertaining to the Gospel) are so clear and
simple that no one can miss their meanings. In the scriptures we find that the teachings of Jesus were understandable even to those
who were not humble or those critical of Him. To these people, Christ spoke in parables so that it would provide a challenge to their
proud intellect. The scriptures contain Christ’s method of teaching in parables, but there are also many other ways that the scriptures
teaches us. More specifically, I refer to the use of chiasm, symbols, numbers, kabal and, as of late, a certain code that has been found by computers in the Bible itself.

It seems that the scriptures are like a divine prism. If a ray of light goes through them, it will radiate in all directions and all places, thereby giving light and knowledge to the reader.

This has a double purpose. First and most important is that we can go from a simple, superficial reading of the scriptures, to exploring
the wide field of divine revelation that the Creator has given us. This is what Paul was referring to when he talked moving on from milk
to meat. Second, this proves to men without faith how perfect God’s work is and how challenging and complex the scriptures can be to study.

From these two facts we can come to several conclusions that should not be underestimated. First is that only those who are meek and
humble of heart have access to and can understand these deeper truths. We know that those who lack these qualities will miss even the
simplest truths that can be understood. Christ taught that those who will humble themselves will be exalted. Only the people who
become child-like and are obedient to the Father’s will find the truth -- the real truth. Jesus taught this principle many times. And, in
saying that the Kingdom of God was for little children, He revealed another great truth, because only those who are guided by
revelation can find the truth and will discover the pearls of great price which are hidden in the scriptures.

Also, the teachings contained below the surface are for believers--not unbelievers. But, in order for even believers to understand the
deeper teachings contained in the scriptures, they need the Lord's Spirit to illuminate their mind. Without this gift, it would be like a
person blindly going through a labyrinth. However, the Holy Ghost has been promised only to those who are pure in heart.

With this understanding, let's take a closer look at this divine prism which is radiating light and knowledge in all directions.

The first layer below the surface is the parables. We can easily see that even the Apostles didn't understand the meaning of most of the
parables that Jesus taught because they had to ask Him in private what they meant. But what was the purpose of the parables? I refer
to a book by Cleon Skousen, entitled, "The Days of the Living Christ." He wrote, “The Savior was simply saying that the gospel of
Jesus Christ is very precious and it involves significant moral, spiritual and intellectual obligations. Some people are ready for this
encounter and some are not. The parables are designed to teach those whose hearts are humble and whose minds are ready for this
powerful new dimensions of truth. For all those who are not ready, the parable remains a simple story with its hidden meaning
carefully obscured. Since Jesus typically used parables in His teachings, we don't have them in the Book of Mormon. He spent the
three days Jesus was in the Americas explaining His Gospel (initial crust) to simple and humble people who were ready to listen to
Him.”

The next layer after parables, is symbolism. Symbolism in the scriptures is used to galvanize the student into a deeper contemplation
and when the symbol is understood, the impression upon a person’s mind is comparable to an ancient document that has been sealed
with wax, signifying that the contents are reserved only for that person for whom it is intended. Joseph Smith declared, "God's things
are of deep import and time, experience and careful and ponderous and solemn thoughts can only find them out."

Joseph Fielding McConkie in his introduction of the book "Gospel Symbolism" declares: "For many within the Church, symbolism is
a dead language. The difficulties of interpretation and the barriers posed by scriptural language have discouraged some saints from
feasting upon the inspired word. But those hungering for this greater substance have turned to the scriptures and commenced the
struggle to learn the language of revelation. They have discovered that to be fluent in the language of the Spirit, one must be fluent in
the language of symbolism. Symbols are the language of feeling, and as such, it is not expected that everyone will receive them in the
same way. Like a beautifully cut diamond (divine prism), they catch the light and then reflect its splendor in a variety of ways. As
viewed at different times and from different positions, what is reflected will differ, yet the diamond and the light remain the same. Thus
symbols, like words, gain richness in their variety of meanings and purposes, which range from revealing to concealing great gospel truths.

“Is there a sure way we can know that there are angels where there are no angels or find meaning where is none intended? The answer
is simple. Appropriately it is found in the scriptures. "Truth embraceth truth." (D&C 88:40). Interpretations in full harmony with truths
already revealed are like currency which is backed by the gold of Heaven. Conversely, any doctrine relying on the interpretations of a
parable, allegory or symbol must be rejected. Let me state this another way. We do not deduce doctrine from parables. We do not
concoct it from allegories. We do not wring it out of symbolic interpretation. But when that doctrine has already been revealed, when it
has already been clearly stated in the scriptures and/or by living prophets, then responsible interpretations of parables, allegories or
symbols that sustain the revelation already given are smiled upon by the heavens and may properly wear the label of divine truth.

“Thus, our gospel understanding must always come first. Before we can understand the symbol, we must first understand the truth it is
meant to convey. Understanding the principle must precede understanding the symbol. There is no substitute for good gospel
scholarship and there is no gospel understanding that cannot be enriched by an improved knowledge of symbols and their meanings.
Just as preparation and training increase our understanding and enjoyment of art and music, so does a knowledge of symbols increases
our knowledge and understanding of the scriptures. Indeed, symbols are like music to the soul. Just like inspired music, symbols raise
our feelings to greater heights as they testify of eternal truths."

To help understand the power of symbols, let me give an example of one. The rainbow was given to us as a token by God to assure
mankind that a flood will not come again as punishment. And the rainbow always comes after the rain. It is a product of the rain. In
fact it is produced by the last drops of a rain. The rainbow joins earth and heaven to emulate the promise between earth and heaven
(man and God). It also helps man to remember that the rain is no longer a curse, but instead reminds us that God’s covenant is still in
force. We understand that the rainbow is not meant to signify that a terrible storm had taken place. Rather, it is meant to give us hope.
It is a wonderful sign, signifying that life is good.

The language of numbers is another way that God shows men that everything is in harmony. Numbers are the basis for scientific
progress, and in the scriptures everything is related to numbers. In geometry, which is the study of two and three-dimensional objects,
we use mathematical formulas to help us measure all aspects of these objects. It is my opinion that the scriptures not only has a
three-dimensional form, but they also contain a fourth dimension – time. The scriptures are the history of God’s dealing with man in
the past, teachings for the present and prophecy of the future. This factor makes the scriptures a geometric and mathematical form of higher dimensions than others.

The digital interlacement, so strictly connected in the scriptures, is the natural key to finding the exact area and the exact volume of this
splendid divine prism, that not only radiates throughout the universe with it's divine light, but it is also the door to acquiring the
knowledge that God has given to His offspring. To better understand this topic, please read my article entitled, "Key for Numbers." 

The Kabbalab is a more sophisticated form of the symbolism of numbers. In fact, it also involves the letters of the alphabet (in this
case, the Hebrew alphabet). What is the Kabbalab? I will use the answer found in the introduction of the book, "Magic of The Cabal,"
by S. L. MacGregor Mathers, Mediterrain-Rome Edition. He writes, “The first questions that the readers will ask regarding this topic
will be, What is the Kabbalab? Who was its author? What are its general teachings? Why is its translations required today?

“I will begin by answering the last question. Today, a powerful wave of obscure thinking is coming on the scene. Many people are
starting to acknowledge the fact that the are many more things on the earth and in heaven than their philosophy has previously led
them to believe. And of no less importance, many people feel today that the Bible, probably the book most misunderstood of any
book ever written, contains several obscure and mysterious passages that cannot be understand without a key whereby making it
possible to understand the real meaning. This key is the Kabbalab.”

This study should interest every person who wants a greater knowledge of the Bible. Every Christian should ask himself: “How could I
understand the Old Testament if don't understand the way in which the Hebrews understood it? And if I don't understand the Old
Testament, how can I truly understand the New Testament?” If the real philosophy of the Bible was better understood, then there would be a less fanatic and factious people.

The Kabbalab can be defined according to Hebrew doctrine. Since my explanation will rely on many Hebrew and Chaldean words.
and since there aren't many students of these languages, I will use normal Roman letters for the spelling of these words. In Hebrew, the
name for Kabbalab is QBLH, which means “to receive.” The Kabbalab is received orally and is strictly connected to "tradition." I will demonstrate this in a table (unfortunately in Italian).

I have explained their letters, names, etc., in digital value. In Hebrew and
Chaldean, there are no specific numeric characters. As in Greek, every letter also represents a particular numeric value. In other words,
every letter is a number and every number is a letter. This is what John was referring to when he declared the number of the beast in
the book of Revelation. This interaction between words and numbers is basic geometry, the first division of the so-called literal
Qabalab.

Regarding the author and origin of Kabbalab, I will quote directly from the book, "Essay on the Kabbalab," by Ginsburg. "A system of
religious philosophy, that not only had for several centuries great influence on Hebrews but it had many followers between the great
Christian thinkers after the renaissance. The Kabbalab was taught from God Himself from the very beginning to the angels.”

An interesting example of Kabbalab in the Bible is the name "Jehovah," which, in Hebrew, is formed by four letters. It is interesting to
note that in the Hebrew alphabet, each of these four letters has a value associated with each of the five senses. However, there are five
senses, but the name Jehovah in Hebrew has only four letters. Then which “sense” is missing from the name Jehovah? This is a very
good question. The name Jesus (Joshua in Hebrew) contains five letters and the extra letter represents the missing sense--"tact."
Jehovah (Jesus) was just a spirit before gaining a body and it was clear from the four words of His name that he was just a spirit. The
missing letter is "shin" which means "tooth" and is connected to "tact." If you think about it, the first thing a child does to get to know
something is put it in their mouth! This corresponds to the sense of taste.

Roberto Asioli, one of the most learned Italian saints regarding this topic, wrote. "Through the Kabbalab, it is possible to go deeper in
the Bible, assuming that the Bible beyond the truths easy to understand at the first sight, contains other hidden truths, of which
Kabbalab has the key to open them.”

The term Kabbalab suggest to us the word “cable.” All electronic machines connects to the power with operates them by way of
cables. We could easily say that Kabbalab is a connection between Heaven and earth. It is the study of all archetypes of the universe
and even creation itself. We shouldn't confuse this with magic or divination. As always, the most important message we need to
remained focused on is the gospel of Jesus Christ. The use of the Kabbalab does not add or take away anything from it. Instead, it
gives color to the scriptures. Without it, it’s like reading the scriptures in black and white. With the Kabbalab, the content is the same,
but the vision is more brilliant and more desirable. One can gain the same knowledge with the aid of the Holy Ghost. Although there is
no comparison between the Holy Ghost and the Kabbalab. if you have both, it increases your knowledge just that much more.

It is not by chance that the study of Kabbalab is based on the study of the spelling of the 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet. We must
also keep in mind that if God gave us this hidden information, as mentioned in Jacob 4:14, then we should be careful how we used this
knowledge because, even though it is all truth, there is a danger in it’s misuse. Therefore, when studying truth, one should remember
the saying in Proverbs 1:7, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge."

In 1290, there was a debate in Italy between two men, Hillel from Verona and Zerahia from Barcellona. The topic of the debate was,
"In which language would a baby express themselves if they were not taught to speak in any language?" Hillel's view was that the child
would speak Hebrew because Hebrew was given naturally from God Himself. Zerahia felt that the baby would express his feelings by barking.

If the Hebrew language didn’t come to man’s nature from God, then certainly it is the basis for all others language. No doubt it is the
closest language associated to that which Adam spoke, which is the language of God. It should be noted that the Hebrew alphabet is
extremely old. It was taught in our present forrm by Rabbi Ezdra at the time of Babylon (approximately 500 B.C.) As such it has is,
maintained the closest proximity to the truth because it has not been polluted by any other languages. By its sound and its letters, it is possible to transmit a concept. That is why all Jewish thinking is based on this alphabet.

This power, comprised of the letters of the Hebrew alphabet, and which goes beyond the limits of rational knowledge, gives us a level
of reading of the sacred texts in many different ways. Therefore this is a language which not only "says something" but also has the
power to control the forces of nature. The Hebrew alphabet is not only a device of denomination but also a device to control reality and
intervene on it, for a testimony of a consideration linguistics that sinks its roots in an age very far, in which, probably, the power of the
word was working in the creation and in the reality. In the scriptures we have this" I have created them by the power of my WORD.”
Every command was followed from a creative action: "Be the light and the light was.

The Hebrew language has two different expressions which are translated into English as "word." The first is Amira
(He-resh-mem-Aleph) which is the inner word, that by which God created the world. The second is "Dibbur" (Resh-vav-beth-daleth)
which are the words we use in normal conversation.

In the Hebrew language names have a wider meaning than they do in our culture. A name is not only used to identify a person but it
was given to identify his personality (see 1 Samuel 25:25). The name was given by revelation not because they were beautiful to hear
but because it expressed the mission of that person. It is like a bar code which, when read spiritually, revealed the nature of the person.
It was for this reason that God presented all the animals to Adam and told him to give each of them a name

In the Egyptian Book of the Dead it is written:" To know the name of somebody, means to posses the power to manipulate them.” We
know that the Bible teaches that every believer will receive a new name that should not be revealed to anyone. When speaking to
Moses God Himself gave him a puzzling name: "I am who I am" ("eheye ascer eheye") or in other words: "This is enough for you".
The sacred name of God is formed by 4 letters Iud-he-vau-he. This name is used to prove the merciful nature of God, while Elohim is
used to prove His justice. It is interesting that Elohim is the Father and He has to protect the Law, and Jehovah is the Son, who, by His mercy has saved the world.

The Hebrews were allowed to write the name of God, but they were forbidden to erase it. Furthermore, the name of God was not
allowed to be pronounced except by those who held the Holy Priesthood because only they knew the secret exact pronunciation of
the word. And this was done only in the temple once a year on the day of the atonement or Yom Kippur, inside the Holy of the
Holies, where no one could hear the name.

The name of God in Hebrew is "Elohim". This word comes from the feminine singular word "eloahh {El-o'-ah}." By adding "iym" to
the end of it, it changes it to a plural name. However, "iym" is usually a masculine ending, yet here we see it added to a feminine word.
This gives the word "Elohim" the sense of uniting both feminine and masculine qualities. The idea of combining these two attributes suggests uniting of a man and woman, which would suggest the idea of a family.

The word Iud-he-vau-he is interesting too. The first letter of this name is "IUD", which is masculine, and the second is "He" which is
feminine. Abraham’s name was changed from Abram to Abraham, thereby adding "he" which represents the creative feminine power.
This change was made when he was promised that many nations would come from his loins. And the same thing happened to his wife
Sarai when the Lord changed it to Sarah. The four letters of these names also represent the eyes (the power to see) the nose (the power
to smell), the ears (the power to hear) and the mouth (the power to speak), thereby corresponding to four of the five senses.

It is interesting to note that the fifth sense which is missing is touch. The name Jehovah has the same 4 letters just mentioned and the
“Shin” comes just in the middle of the other four. This symbolizes the incarnation of Jesus, who prior to then was Jehovah. For a

These is another form by which God has signed the scriptures. This word comes from the Greek "chiasm," which means intersection,
and is represented by the letter X. Since there is a very good site to explain this I suggest to you visit it for a more in-depth explanation.

Maybe the greatest problem in interpreting the scriptures comes from our own ignorance of the true pattern of scripture from the Lord.
As we have seen there are several different levels of understanding. Chiasm is one of them. Many people say that the scriptures are a
mystery - a great puzzle, but I prefer to say that they are like a divine prism. A puzzle is something that has on solution. A puzzle is
something that you can hold in your hands (i.e., the pieces of the puzzle). But the scriptures are something that is not only a challenge
but they have many different levels of understanding, from the simplest to the deepest. But to better understand the scriptures it is
necessary to have a sincere desire to want to know the truth. We need to approach it with no prejudices but with an open mind if we
hope to understand them. Above all we need the Holy Ghost because, without it, the light coming from the divine prism would not be
properly understood. After all, the whole point of reading the scriptures is to find the pearls of great price that are hidden deep within them.

To the Jews chiasm is part of the cryptic message hidden in the scripture thereby providing an effective seal for the sacred text.
Because of this, the scriptures become a cryptogram or a secret formula which the learned men of the world cannot understand. For
this reason, the scriptures were a part of the temple ritual, which itself is comprised of a series of cryptic symbols. Just like everyone
has their own unique, personal style of handwriting, chiasm is a sign of God's handwriting.

And there is still yet another level of understanding known as the Omega Code. This code was discovered just a few years ago. By the
use of modern computers it has been possible to see that in the scriptural fabric of the sacred texts there are incredible references to
events in history, but since this is a very recent topic I will only make passing mention of this in this article. Briefly the Omega code
states: "The scriptures contain encoded messages. According to a myth Moses received the Torah as a long sequence of letters, to
which after that were added spaces. The Torah's letters are 304.805. When they are put in a computer these letters can be considered
like a file and the reading is no more sequential but can be done at intermission of letters.” (See the picture.)


The reading can be done vertically or horizontally and even in depth. To better understand this principle, imagine a cube made of
pages of glass put one above the other, on which each page contains the letters of the Torah. As you can imagine, there would be
infinite combinations of words that could be formed!

No doubt there are even many more mysteries hidden in the scriptures. What we do know is that each of us will be judged from the
books that are written. (see Revelation 2:17, Revelation3:5, and Revelation 3:12 - the most important of all.)

When we say that the scriptures contain the whole truth what that could mean is that the scriptures contain the whole history of
human events. To understand these events, we just need to know where to find it. To learn more about this subject, go to the web
search engines and put in the words "bible code". Since these are new studies and very hard to completely understand I strongly
suggest you be very careful on this. Don't forget that these things are interesting but the basics of the gospel are always charity and
humility. Knowledge is also important but only if it is based on these principles.

So far nobody has tried the Omega code with the Book of Mormon. Maybe they will in the future. However, before they can do this, it
would have to first be translated into Hebrew. But it would still be interesting to see If it produces the same results.
