CREATION EX NIHILO OR NOT?

CREATION EX NIHILO OR NOT?
In the book "New Mormon challenge" page 99 "THE DOCTRINE OF CREATION IN MORMONISM AND CHRISTIANITY"
The author spent 53 pages in analyzing the Book of Mormon D&C and the Bible, on my opinion he was going around just trying to confuse more the readers than trying to make his point, in fact quoting the Book of Mormon and D&C is not fair if you don't accept them, you cannot comment something you really don't know and especially if you don't believe it as true.
The most funny thing is that he quoted many scriptures by the Bible, sometimes bending them some other times talking about roots of words in the original Greek and Hebrew trying to make his point and best of all instead to quote a direct scripture to prove his point he declares.
"nowhere in the Old Testament is it explicitly and precisely stated that God created the heavens and the earth out of nothing (ex nihilo);" nevertheless, they say" the Old Testament depicts no preexistent material or realm from which God emerged or created.... God created the universe ex nihilo and established the laws that govern the workings of the world." page 165 of the Book "New Mormon challenge"
So we have his declaration that  "nowhere in the Old Testament is it explicitly and precisely stated that God created the heavens and the earth out of nothing (ex nihilo);" and best of all we have a clear and sharp scripture in the New Testament to prove that creation ex nihilo is not in the Bible but best of all it is clearly inconsistent for it.
I will try to make my point, by the Bible, understandable for all the readers not only for the learned people as Paul taught
1 Corinthians 2:1
1 ¶ AND I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

1 Corinthians 2:2
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

1 Corinthians 2:3
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

1 Corinthians 2:4
4 And my speech and my preaching [was] not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

1 Corinthians 2:5
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
I believe that common sense is in the Bible more than anything else, besides from his own words is clear and from the Bible too that our "problem" here how the creation happened it was not a big deal for the first disciples and apostles, in fact if you believe in creation ex nihilo or not doesn't make you a better Christian especially if you consider what Jesus said about judgment day'
Matthew 25:31
31 ¶ When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

Matthew 25:32
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth [his] sheep from the goats:

Matthew 25:33
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Matthew 25:34
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Matthew 25:35
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Matthew 25:36
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Matthew 25:37
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed [thee]? or thirsty, and gave [thee] drink?

Matthew 25:38
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took [thee] in? or naked, and clothed [thee]?

Matthew 25:39
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

Matthew 25:40
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.

Matthew 25:41
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
From this scriptures is clear that people will be judge from what they have practiced no from their knowledge of doctrines, especially if they are not found in the Bible and remember in the whole Bible there is never a debate about creation.
Having said this I will quote some clear scriptures to give you more than hints and clues about an organized creation and no ex nihilo creation.
Genesis 1:1
1 ¶ IN the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
The Protestants interpret the word created in a way and LDS in the opposite way but common sense here is that this is just an introduction to what is going to happen, in fact the next verse
And the earth was without form, and void;
Can you imagine something without form? Anyway it seems clear to me that after the introduction " In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Moses, the writer of Genesis, starts to give us the idea of what happened from the very beginning and that is that at the beginning of the creation earth was not organized it was without form in the sense that had no beauty and void because there were no vegetation, no animal no man in fact later God commended the beasts and mankind to replenish the earth.
after this we have the six day in which God organized the earth and heaven, in fact, think about this, the six days were an organized work to put everything in order, if God would have created everything ex nihilo would have need of six days?
The idea given in the first chapter of Genesis is a clear idea of an organized work no more no less.
Another trouble that our "friends" are going to face is the problem with Genesis 2 in fact we have two creations' accounts and they are strictly consistent to the LDS doctrine.
In another place the Bible gives us the explanation of this job from the Lord Himself.
Job 38:4
4 ¶ Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

Job 38:5
5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

Job 38:6
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

Job 38:7
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Job 38:8
8 Or [who] shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, [as if] it had issued out of the womb?

Job 38:9
9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,

Job 38:10
10 And brake up for it my decreed [place], and set bars and doors,

Job 38:11
11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?
Even here we have the personal declaration from the Lord Himself.
But I know that our "friends" will be able in some way to tell you some fable about this clear idea given in the scriptures but what they can't avoid is this last statement given by Peter under the influence of the spirit.
2 Peter 3:5
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
Sorry but here they can't play anymore "earth standing out of the water " for this reason in their book they mentioned many different scriptures but never quoted this one, because by this they lose no matter what they say.
Let's say that maybe they are not satisfied from these scriptures, can they quote just one clear scripture in which is clearly declared that creation was done out of nothing? No at all, the scriptures I quoted above even if you like to intrepret them as symbolic or not clear, but Peter is clear! well at least we have something solid to support in the Bible our idea, but the Protestants what they have? just nothing.
Another big trouble they have is coming from science the "big Bang theory"
The currently accepted scientific view of the origin of the universe is the "Big Bang" theory. According to this view, the universe, including the space and time in it, it is presumed to have begun at some definite moment in the past, expanding from an initial extremely small and extremely dense clump of matter to its present size. I do not want to take science on my side, because I know that science in many cases is in opposition to the truth, but I mention this because our "friends" love archeology and I thought that maybe they are willing to consider this point. Science also maintain that it is impossible to destroy matter or better you can divide atoms and find that you have something more to divide and the call this microcosm.
