IN THE BEGINNING.

In the beginning, "God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament and divided the waters under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so" (Genesis 1:6-9)

When we talk about the heavens we often think of the stars and planets which are situated in the universe of outer space. But according to the scriptures, when the firmament (heaven) was made, it was created "in the midst of the waters, and... it divided the waters from the waters." If heaven is the universe of stars and galaxies, where is the water? Furthermore, there must be water all around the universe if the firmament is "in the midst of the waters".
But then we learn that the waters under the firmament (heaven) were gathered into one place and the dry land appeared. And it was upon these waters and upon this dry land that "brought forth abundantly the moving creatures that hath life" (Genesis 1:20). This is an obvious reference to our planet earth. Therefore the waters that were "gathered together unto one place" are the seas, and the dry land that appeared must be the continents. It would be more correct to say there was one sea, and one continent.

Notice also that the scriptures don't use the plural words "firmaments" or "heavens". Rather it uses them in the singular sense. There is only one firmament and onlyone heaven. But what about the waters above the firmament? If the waters beneath the firmament are located on the earth, and the firmament divided the waters in two and were in the midst of the waters, then this word cannot mean the universe. Notice again that is was only after the earth was made that "God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven (singular)" (Genesis 1:14). The firmament spoken of here can only be the atmosphere which surrounds the earth.
If that is so, then, in the beginning, the earth was covered with a  water,   while on the earth all the land mass was in one place and all the oceans were in one place.

THE EVOLUTION OF THE EARTH

When the Lord flooded the earth with enough water to cover every inch of dry land, where did it all this liquid come from? Obviously from the protective water layer that was above the firmament. Therefore, that means that after the flood, this protective shield around the earth no longer existed. Notice also that before the flood, man lived close to a thousand years before dying, while after the flood, his lifespan very quickly dropped to under one hundred years, sure there was no more this shield. The scholars are saying that a ray of the sun when it goes trough the water lose is power , in fact after a while under the sea there is darkness because of this, and stay under the direct rays of the sun is dangerous, specially now for the Ozone. So if there was this kind of shield it is easy to understand why the men where living so much time at the beginning. Maybe you could say :" You are speaking of this only for a tiny clue." Well I am lucky I found in the New Testament that my theory is right. II Peter 3:5-6  "For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the waterand in the water:whereby the world that then was, being overflood with water, perished"
Some time after the flood, we read that "unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg, for in his days was the earth divided" (Genesis 10:25). Yet we learn that after the earth was divided "the whole earth was of one language and of one speech" (Genesis 11:1). So what does it mean that the earth was divided in the days of Peleg?
Let's ask ourselves another question: Is the dry land all in one place and all the waters in another place today? Clearly not. Thus we are left with only one conclusion: It was the dry land that became divided in the days of Peleg. Unfortunately, the scriptures don't give us any indication as to the timing of this event in human history. All we know for sure is that it occurred sometime after the great flood of Noah's day.
We likewise have no idea how long it was after the dividing of the earth that the tower of Babel was built. But what we do know is that the people of the earth all spoke one language, and that they were all gathered together in one place. At least there is no Biblical record that there were people living on the other continents that came into existence when the land was divided. Therefore, these other continents must have been uninhabited by the animal we call man.
